Town Barbers

Jake not only gave me a really great haircut, but also my first fit. I would highly recommend him!!!

I stopped by The Town Barbers in the late morning about a week and a half ago to book an appointment with a specific barber, only to find out he no longer worked there. I was then referred to another barber who introduced himself as "Jake." I asked if I could schedule two appointments for Friday, February 7th, and he confirmed, mentioning that he was available until 5 P.M. We agreed on 4:00 and 4:30 P.M., and he wrote down my and my son's names and phone number in his planner. He also handed me a business card with the appointment details, where his full name was listed as Jake Pomi. Fast forward to today, February 7th--we arrived at 3:40 P.M. only to find the parking lot chained up and the security door locked. I called multiple times, but no one answered, and there was no voicemail. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, we waited until 4:10 P.M., but "Jake" was a complete no-show. No call, no explanation. Jake flaked. On a sunny Friday afternoon, it seems he ditched us for Happy Hour instead of honoring his commitment. Barbers who work by appointment usually dislike being stood up--well, as a businessman, I resent when commitments aren't honored. This place should be renamed "The Out of Town Barbers." And if this is their work ethic, they might soon become "The Out of Business Barbers."

I have been seeing Jake for a few years now. He is the best barber in town. Not only is he just a genuine guy, but he is professional and really takes the time to give me a good haircut. My son is 2 and it's the only place I will take him. Jake puts on cartoons and makes it fun for him! Don't hesitate, give Jake a call! It also helps that he is a Giants fan!
