The Sanctuary Spa (Cedar Rapids)

-I write this even after waiting a few days for a response from the owner, manager or contact listed. I did even verify it's a "working" email.- Don't go for a pedicure. The first half of the hour started out fine with the drink option. Then, the pedicure started to get odd. The lady asked who I was here with and I mentioned a friend. She said "oh well I guess you have time to meet friends later in life." That seemed like a strange remark from anyone. Then, the polish was put on in the last 5-10 minutes and by the end of it the oil/lotion came me a headache. When I walked in our house my family had the same reaction. I sent the email listed on the website an email and phone call and got no response from the listed name. I front desk person said I could come back to paint the nail with half the paint gone. I can't go back due to my work schedule. At the end of the pedicure the lady said "thanks for your patience." I thought that was odd too. Now I understand a bit more! Overall, the service was super concerning and strange as well as the contact person never returning my phone call or email after a week. The money isn't worth it and the only convo I heard among staff was about their excitement for an upcoming gift card special. Unless you want to go back for a take 2, don't go for a first time either until improvements are made.

sanctuary spa is truly one of a kind—i’ve never been anywhere like it in the cedar rapids area. from the moment you walk in, the space is absolutely stunning, creating a peaceful and luxurious atmosphere. the staff is beyond kind, both over the phone and in person. they go out of their way to make sure your experience is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible—even offering to carry my purse into the facial room, which was such a thoughtful touch. one thing that really stood out to me was how accommodating they were. due to past trauma, i requested to stay fully clothed during the massage portion of the ultimate indulgence plus facial, and they were completely understanding and respectful of my request, which meant so much. beyond the exceptional service, everything about this spa is amazing—the drinks are delicious, the waiting room is actually fun to spend time in, and the entire experience is just pure relaxation. i was afraid i wouldn’t be able to unwind, but it was such an out-of-body experience. the facial was incredible, it felt amazing on my skin, and most importantly, it was so nice to just be pampered and not have to think about anything else. if you’re looking for a place to truly treat yourself, sanctuary spa is it. can’t recommend it enough!

Speechless. The service was astounding. First time massage and first visit. They exceeded any expectations I had in mind. Claire was a godsend. Front staff was very attentive. The hot green tea was perfect temperature right away. Towels were just right. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. Thank you!
