I cannot recommend cranial osteopathy enough! I brought my baby (newborn at the time) to see John after hearing wonderful things from a friend, and it was one of the best decisions I made as a new parent. This was back in 2021 ans I wanted to leave a great review to recommend John to new people. My baby had been struggling with discomfort, straining frequently, and was unsettled, which made me feel quite overwhelmed. He was a nicu baby therefore it has been a very stressful first months. From the first session, John was so patient and thorough, explaining everything clearly and helping me feel more at ease. The treatments were incredibly gentle—John used soothing, light-touch techniques that my baby responded to so well. It was amazing to see how relaxed my little one became in his hands. After just a few sessions, the improvement was remarkable. My baby started sleeping better, keeping his breast milk down and was far more content, and I could finally see him truly comfortable. More than this, John helped me bond with my baby through the appointments. Not only beneficial for my baby but also for me as a new mom. John took the time to discuss the emotional challenges of early parenthood, which felt like therapy in itself! I highly recommend cranial osteopathy at The Plane Tree to any parents looking to support their baby’s health and wellbeing in those early weeks. I hope to see John again my newborn is now 3

I had three sessions with John Mallinder for a rib and back injury (costochondritis) I've been suffering with for over a year and a half and John's sessions genuinely have helped the most out of any other treatment I've received. The exercises and knowledge he passed on also helped address longstanding weaknesses and issues with my body which I hadn't even thought to tackle until now. John's techniques included physio, massage therapy, and chiropractic techniques. I don't think I would have gotten such a comprehensive treatment plan elsewhere, and I'm now significantly better and on the way to a full recovery.

I went to see John Mallinder for help with my back and legs issues. The treatment room was spotlessly clean and the treatment couch was very comfy and also very clean. He gave a very good thorough consultation and really listened to my concerns. Over time he built trust with me and gave me the best treatment i have ever had from an Osteopath including acupuncture which i feared because of a previous bad experience with a not so kind osteopath. I was dealt with respect, and kindness and compassion. And he actually prompted me to make some small changes to my lifestyle to promote a further better result to healing.
