I visited Mr. Josef @ Mena’s Salon for the 1st time. I cannot stress enough how amazing this experience was. This man is a real artist. Knowing his craft. Very confident. Sharp and accurate. Expect to hear it as is. No bluffing, he nailed it within very little time. I cannot believe the way he cuts hair and the speed is unbelievable. I highly recommend Josef. Hats down. I am in love with myself again. I must give this place 1 million stars.

This is the worst experience of my life and very sad. I’m astonished I have not been contacted by the owner of this salon from this experience as I left in shock and in tears. I went in VERY VERY transparent I want a V cut with layers. My hair is VERY long almost down to my butt. I had my haircut by Jen and we agreed on an inch!!! She cut over 4-5 inches off and I’ve never had my hair this short in 25 years. This is unbelievable. She had the haircut completed then asked for me to look at the mirror from the back so I did and told her I want more V shape as it wasn’t shaped of my liking. She was like okay it’s going to take more off the sides and I was like okay I understand because to sharpen the V. I’ve been having my hair cut like this for over 5 years in the V style and never has someone taken so much of my length. She hacked inches off without my approval and I was in shock so upset I even said I’m nervous as I seen so much hair coming off and she said it was from the sides. I’m not sure where the miscommunication came from between us but never dreamed I would walk out with my hair this short. I did tell her I want the front shorter as meaning to frame my face and I think she thought I meant my whole head but if that was her perception why in the world wouldn’t she ask how much I wanted off and the agreed amount from the length was an inch. The nerve she actually cut that much hair off when we agreed on an inch is so unbelievable. I paid $65 and It’s not what I asked for or agreed on so that’s why I’m upset and in shock. There’s obviously nothing we can do to put my hair back but this is very upsetting as I have pictures of my length to see the difference. I can’t even use the same hair clips as before because my hair is so short. This really is absolutely upsetting beyond belief as I went in so transparent and communicated what I wanted.

Today I went in needing a color correction and my stylist was Jenni. She was completely honest with me and thoroughly explained why lightening my hair wouldn’t be the best decision right now. She gave me a difiaba conditioning treatment, cut, and color retouch to correct hot roots. I left 1000% in love with my hair. Even though I had another plan in mind she still managed to pull of something much healthier for my hair that left me feeling amazing. I am excited for how much healthier my hair will be as I continue to see Jenni! She also used a difiaba whipped cream on my hair that smelled so amazing that I purchased it as well. She does beautiful cuts and blow outs!
