Loft42 is the go to! I see Alex and I love her so much! Alex is super flexible and willing to squeeze me in when she can! The owner, Nikki, has created the new “it” salon in town! I always recommend friends to find someone to book with at Loft42! Customer service is always incredible and the environment is very welcoming. I love the aesthetic and constantly look forward to being there!

Upon scheduling my eyelash extension (full set) appt. with Arika, I received an email that it was confirmed, for Wednesday on 12.28.22. I did not receive any further information prior to the appointment. I arrived to Loft 42 a few minutes late due to my GPS taking me behind the building. I called the salon to inform them that I was almost there. Nikki, the salon owner, alleviated my concern stating that it's a common issue for the salon with the GPS misrouting, and then said to me, "oh don't worry, Arika is always late". I did not expect to wait until 10:15 for her to arrive. Arika did not inform me she would be late, either. My appointment was scheduled for 10. Before beginning the set installation, there was no consultation. I shared with Arika that this was my first time getting eyelash extensions; knew I wanted a hybrid set. Right away, she had me lay down & began to tape my lashes down. Arika started to take photos of my eyelashes and then promptly accused me of cutting them. Mortified, I explained that I had fake eyelashes on for an important event a few weekends prior. Arika continued to ostracize me for how they looked. Later in conversation, common ground on our music taste came up which was really exciting. Arika began to talk about a band she really likes, to then share with me that she does not believe the sexual allegations against the male vocalist of said band. Within 25 minutes of meeting Arika, this comment was made to me.. and I am a survivor of sexual assault. was in shock that she had the audacity to provide this opinion- not personally knowing this band, the vocalist, or the individual who came forward against sexual misconduct. Once she was done, Arika gave me verbal aftercare instructions, directing me to clean them with the cleanser she provided me; said, do not wear mascara, and said to come back in two weeks for a fill. That was it - nothing was scheduled for two weeks when left. My appointment lasted 2 hours from the time she started (late) until I paid and left @ approx 12:20ish. Vagaro (for Loft 42) or Loft 42's website, did not list the cost for eyelash extensions. Arika charged me $200, I tipped 20%, resulting in a total cost of $240. After leaving my appointment, my eyelash extensions began to fall out at a rapid rate. I have kept the lashes that have fallen off for proof, and in hopes this situation would be made right. I messaged Arika with my concerns about my lashes two days ago. have yet to receive a response. I said: "Hey Arika, it's Laura. Since Wednesday, I have had many lashes fall out. Two different friends of mine who get their lashes done, looked at mine and described them as "gappy"; for $200, they believe I was ripped off by the lack of lashes in general. I don't want to ask for a full refund, but I think a 50% refund would be appropriate. Thank you." | sought two different consultations as well, with other providers, to find out my experience with Arika was unprofessional from the start. I only received 25% of the lashes I paid for. I wanted a full hybrid set. Arika said to me during my appointment, that because I've never had them before, needed to start off "light", but for $200, it is clear I was ripped off. I cannot tell you how inappropriate and unprofessional my experience was, and I am disgusted to find out all of the things she didn't do (and should have done) before/during/and with aftercare instructions. I was hopeful that this situation would have been addressed and made right, but it is apparent that there is a significant lack of care and concern for her work, and her clients. Added note: I did not sign anything, I did not receive any paper instructions for aftercare or information about her services, price, etc. prior to starting the appointment. The cleanser she gave me is in an unmarked pink bottle.
