Elements Massage - Boise

I’ve had a massage subscription here for a few years and really have enjoyed my time with Elements. The environment is tranquil and they have many great masseurs on staff. Shoutout to Tina; she’s the best.

Karina who is a master therapist did probably one of the best massages I've ever had and needed in such a long time. Would recommend 10/10. Took her time and made sure she focused on every area of improvement and all the front staff were friendly and helpful and patient with helping me move my account over and get started! Coming back for sure!

It’s rather disappointing that I even need to write this review. I’ve been with Elements at Bown Crossing for 14 years. But over the last few years they have consistently been unable to keep appointments because of therapist turn over or other reasons. So I brought it up with the front desk saying that they need to do better with scheduling and planning for last minute gaps in committed appointments. This has been happening since 2022. I can’t even get in a scheduled massage despite paying membership dues. Their therapists are great and their front desk staff is great and it’s not their fault, I know that. But the management is poor and they don’t care about their clients. When I brought up the issue with cancellations again this time and said that instead of massage being relaxing, the act of scheduling a massage and getting cancellation and then rebooking that creates unnecessary stress during my work (which is when they call by the way - not evenings and weekends but smack in the middle of the work day even thought their hours are 9am-9pm 7 days a week. So I asked them to call me in the evenings. Which they didn’t make note of and continued to call me for cancellations during the day. So they ask you to book months in advance and then they cancel last minute with no ‘penalty’ if client does the same we get charged late cancellations. When I discussed these cancellation again recently they decided to cancel my whole membership with even talking to me - they sent me an email to cancel- that’s so poor customer service. In addition they made allegations that I was bullying their staff and hence cancelled my membership. It is so sad that after 14 years and having no issues at all for first 10 of those, some constructive feedback over last 4 years and they decide to just cut me off and make false allegations. This is wrong. I’ve had great relationships with my therapists over the years. As an example the therapist who helped me during my pregnancy I even helped her during her injury when she could no longer work due to her accident injury (elements management shared her info with me because they had a heart back then) and I helped her over the years and kept good relationships. Until the pandemic things were great with elements management and then through the pandemic when they moved to the new bigger place it seems they are after our money and don’t care about the clients. And so to get rid of me because I asked for better service they are making wrong allegations about me bullying their staff. I’m not sure what changed during the pandemic and if the management or ownership changed but they are not the same in how they treat their clients anymore. It seems that chain franchise are too cavalier and don’t care about their clients - atleast this one does not. Very disappointed.
