Montgomery is the State capital of Alabama, Birmingham has the most residents, the largest city by area is Huntsville, and the oldest city in the state is Mobile. The Wharf in Orange Beach has plenty of boutiques, beach stores, restaurants and entertainment spots. There are also white sandy beaches on the Gulf Coast to amazing scenic mountains in the north.
